Announces one month additional salary for employees on poll duty

Srinagar Sept 25 (KNO) : Announcing one month additional salary to all the government employees who will be on poll duty, the state administration on Tuesday admitted that scores of spos have announved their resignation.

Addressing a press conference, Chief Secretary V R Subrahmanyam said that the employees who will perform election duty will get additional one month salary. Besides, the CS said that adequate security will be provided to all the candidates who will contest in the upcoming polls, slated to be started from October 08. He also claimed that 300 hotel accommodations have been arranged in Srinagar for candidates and similar arrangements are being made in south and north Kashmir.

CS further claimed that the administration will be hiking the salaries of spos within newxt few days. “The resignations compared to total number of SPOs who are above 30,000 is negligible” he added (KNO)
